At the 12stremmata estate in Fotolivos, Drama, organic aromatic plants and herbs are grown, while the 'marriage' of lavender and beehives resulted from the experimental placement of hives in the heart of the estate.
It is considered as one of the most special and tasty varieties of honey for this reason and is among the superior culinary products. It contains high percentages of sugars and has a short crystallization time.
Lavender honey has an antifungal and antimicrobial effect. It has a creamy texture achieved by the natural process of fine crystallization in order to leave a velvety sensation in the mouth.
