The company IDIOTROPA is a family business, which started its activities in 1992 in Mylopotamos, Drama, by Vassilis Hatzis and his wife Maria Tsiausidou. He started with the drying of Florinis pepper and continued with the drying of the tomato, known as "THE DRIED TOMATO". The raw material comes exclusively from the Greek countryside, after cooperation with farmers in the area and from the rest of Greece.
Dried eggplant, whether sliced or diced, is a product rich in minerals such as calcium, potassium and iron, which is what causes its color to change when exposed to air. It also contains flavonoids, which help destroy free radicals.
It helps prevent arthritis, osteoporosis and heart-related problems as well as the better functioning of the digestive system.
It also gives the food a sweet taste with a slight eggplant aroma!
