The first contact of the Besi family with bees was in 2011 and from then on they were “stuck” and as their love for the bee grew, so did the apiary with the aim of providing excellent beekeeping products for the consumer public.
Pine honey constitutes 65% of the total production of all Greek honeys produced annually in our country. We have been moving our apiary to the pine forests of North Evia since August in order to catch the cycle of the insect Marchalina hellenica or otherwise also “worker” of the pine. Nutritionally, it is rich in calcium, magnesium, iron.It has strong antimicrobial properties and apart from trace elements, pine honey is rich in carbohydrates (fructose, dextrose, sucrose), organic acids, proteins, amino acids, mineral salts, enzymes, vitamins, sodium and potassium, while it has fewer calories than the rest ash. Its color is amber to brown. It usually crystallizes after 16 months.
