The first contact of the Besi family with bees was in 2011 and from then on they were “stuck” and as their love for the bee grew, so did the apiary with the aim of providing excellent beekeeping products for the consumer public.
You can consider Velanidia honey as one of the rising Greek honeys as it has been found in a research by the Aristotle University that it has the strongest antioxidant activity among other 48 types of honey, from all over the world.
It belongs to the category produced from honeydew (such as pine, fir), as a result of which it does not crystallize.
It is quite dark in color, not particularly sweet and gives a touch of acidity on the palate. It has a high content of enzymes, proteins and vitamins which help the metabolism.
Flowering starts from June and gives quite a strong aroma if the weather conditions help.
